Welcome
When God created man, He literally set him ticking by putting a heart as the centre of his being.  A regular pulse which is the essence of all life, the steady rhythm which governs our day to day living is God's metronome, measuring out the beats to which one of His major works is played... your life.  From overture to finale, with intermezzi of different moods, our life is played out at the hands of the greatest of composers, an opus in progress, each one unique, each one just as beautiful as the others... and together with the others making part of an even greater work... creation.  And central to this life, played to a rhythm sown deep inside our being, is music.
Over the years, as a performer and an educator, I have seen music move people in so many different ways.  I have seen people moved to tears, and people move to rhythm.  I have seen students with profound and multiple special needs make an extra effort to reach out and touch a musical instrument.  I have seen people close their eyes and let the music carry them far away in their imagination.  I have seen people let the music carry them even further, as a means of reaching out to God.  And I have seen God use music as a means of reaching out to His people.
As a conductor and composer, it is my priviledge to work with many talented people.  Each musical experience is different, but whether it is conducting a school percussion band of students with special needs, a choir or a full orchestra, or whether it is working alone at composing a new work, the experience is always a profound journey which leads to a meeting with that which is sublime.
My music is a humble thanks to God for entrusting me with so precious a gift.
